Recreation (BODY - Muscles, Bones, Circulatory)

That's why it's important that you provide children access to regular physical activity each and every day.

After two years of isolation, social distancing and the increase use of electronic devices, social media and video games, increasing evidence shows that children and youth are less active today than before. Further showing that children and youth who are active tend to have fewer behavioral and disciplinary problems, do better in school and have longer attention spans.

Physical activity also helps children:

  • Build confidence
  • Decrease stress and depression
  • Develops and maintains strong bones
  • Develops motor skills and build strength, flexibility and endurance
  • Improves social skills and brain development
  • Helps maintain a healthy weight.
