The purpose of tutoring is to help students help themselves, or to assist or guide them to the point at which they become an independent learner, and thus no longer need a tutor. Our tutor's job is to add to what the student learns in class. The tutor helps the student review the requirements of the class, and to decide how to meet those requirements. The tutor can help the student identify questions that he or she needs to ask the teacher to get more help in class. We operate in three distinct formats, each designed to engage the learner. 

• Learning centers. Classes of up to twenty students normally gather in learning centers after school or on weekends. ...
